What this app is
WC2026 Sweepstakes is a free tracker for office and family World Cup sweepstakes. Hosts create a pool, run a fair random draw to assign teams to contestants, and share an access code. From then on the bracket, standings and leaderboards update themselves from match results — no spreadsheet required.
Not affiliated with FIFA
This is an independent fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to FIFA, the FIFA World Cup 2026™, or any team, league or governing body. All tournament names and team names belong to their respective owners.
No money changes hands here
The app never handles money. There are no payments, stakes, prizes or winnings in the app itself — it only tracks teams and scores. If your group plays for money, that arrangement is entirely between you, and the organiser is responsible for making sure it is legal where you live. Gambling and sweepstakes laws vary by country and region.
Match data
Live scores, fixtures and results come from football-data.org. Updates can lag behind the broadcast by a few minutes, and occasional errors or outages are outside our control. Don't settle arguments (or bets) on this app alone — the official FIFA results are the source of truth.
Accounts, photos and privacy
You only need an account to host a pool or claim your entry — viewing is open to anyone with the access code. Accounts store your email and name (sign-in via Google or email and password; passwords are stored hashed). Profile photos uploaded by hosts or contestants are stored publicly: anyone with the link or the pool code can see them, so don't upload anything private. Pool pages are not listed in search engines, but the access code is the only thing protecting them — share it accordingly. Cookies are used for sign-in sessions only; there is no advertising or third-party tracking.

The app is provided as-is, free of charge, with no guarantee of accuracy, availability or fitness for any purpose. Use it at your own risk — and have a great tournament.
